I haven't gotten that far. Maybe that's 2016's must have item: waterproof shotgun

You may not even need a gun, you can probably just sneak right up to them and pull them under the water by their feet.

Imagine the amount of money you would save on shells if you'd hunt them underwater with a knife instead of the lazy way in a blind with a gun.

Comes with this T-shirt to wear underneath so people can see how serious you really are even when not wearing the suit.

Lake Bruin, circa 1996. Bunch of drunken high schoolers hanging out on a pier. 4 local mallards were spotted swimming near by. A bet was made. A drunken lad who fancied himself as an injun dons some goggles and slips into the lake. A few minutes later there is some quacking, squaking and ruckus and only 3 local mallards are visible. Then a war cry is heard as the drunk injun pops out the water holding a quite pissed off mallard hen high above his head. It. Was. Awesome.

If you are going to go dry suit, why not get a tank and regulator?

Have you guys honestly never wished your waders covered a bit higher? Never had too little cover near where the birds wanted to be and thought getting deeper in the water would provide more concealment?

We hunt a ton of small ponds and lakes here and late season the birds shift their landing zone further and further from the bank and any visible cover.

I have stood in water 2" from the top of my chest waders and shot a limit before. I have also laid down in shallow puddles in between corn rows and shot geese when a dry suit would have kept me drier. And have sat in 18" of water on a mud bank in SD as birds came into decoys only 20 yards away.

Dryness and resulting warmth is being underrated.
