Was wondering the same when I read that. I would've probably ate that piece minus the feather.
I've seen it before from Popeye's I believe.

the average person has no idea how difficult it is to fully pluck a bird.

Gotta keep the dummies distracted so they don't watch the real news.

my wife saw a feather on a piece of chicken from Ralph's. She refuses to eat chicken from there now.

Good grief. I couldn't count the number of feather pieces I've seen on chicken over the years, particularly on the wings. Big deal.

Sounds about right. People want their cooked animals resembling animals as little as possible.

I'm amazed how people are repulsed by Asian cuisine by eating fresh raw protein, or even live, but have no problem reaching for that steak that's been sitting on the grocer's shelf for a week. My special needs Sister for instance loves loves loves shrimp, but will absolutely freak out if the head is still attached...but I digress...
After hunts, my Dad would bring home delicious birds to eat, but if feathers were frowned upon, he'd be banished from any kitchen because he didn't remove each and every feather. Big deal. Also had to chew lightly as to not break any teeth on shot.

People are pussies. I would have dipped that sucker in hot sauce and ate it.

When 15-year-old Zane Salazar showed Ashley Hunnicutt the wing, she thought it was cartilage at first, but was shocked to discover it was a white feather. "We kind of both pushed our food away," Hunnicutt said, "because we weren't hungry after that."
Did they not know chickens had feathers?

When they whined about the feather, the manager should have given the mom the Killer Joe treatment with that wing.
