It's hard not to appreciate the simple beauty of fried spam between two pieces of supple white bread. Liberally applied with mustard, of course.

It's fine if Spam isn't for you. No big deal at all.
Like all foods, there are people who don't like Spam. If everyone had to have it, the price would go sky high and there would be no pork shoulder for Pulled Pork BBQ.
I happen to like it a lot. Sliced and cooked in a skillet until crusty, with cooked onions and mustard on toasted bread and Potato Salad on the side is a nice meal.

I don't know. i never tried it. I bought some once and opened up the can. And then a huge glob of jelly fell onto my plate and I started gagging and no thanks.

I'll mix mustard and brown sugar and put that on top and bake it like a ham and my sons (23 & 21) LOVE it!
Wife won't go near it!

Spam is delicious.

The key is to cook it. alot of things look and taste bad before you cook them. Bacon raw? no thanks. Cooked? yes please.

My problem with SPAM is that they use preservatives that are known carcinogens if they are exposed to the high temps of frying.
They load it up with vitamin c which inhibits the reaction....but I can't enjoy it psychologically because of that knowledge. Only buy it for hurricane scenarios.
(Seriously, check the nutrition facts for Vit-C....and yet they don't proudly advertise you can get your DV of vitamin c like pretty much all other prepared foods. Hmmmmmmm)
