Heading there this evening with some friends. Any recommendations? Any must try's?
Or just go for the steak?

Get the biggest bone in ribeye they have and don't share it.

The NY Strip is the best. Believe me. I'm a ribeye girl, and no. Their strip is FANTASTIC.
Braised pork belly app is also to die for. Fried green tomatoes with crabmeat are pretty good.
Nothing is bad. The onion rings are good too.
Just GET THE STRIP IF YOU GET STEAK.

!
I took a bite of my ribeye, and then a bite of the strip, and the jump from good to amazing was huge.

Crab cake app is bangin as well, along with the crystal hot sauce onion rings/strings
I'm another fan of the bone-in ribeye...Desi Vega's (owner's other place that is just like Mr. John's) occasionally will have a bone-in filet which is tremendously good as well...not sure if that has ever made it to Mr. john's

Live large, get the Porterhouse. If your appetite isn't up to the task, then the veal chop is my recommendation.

I eat there often. Sear a bone in ribeye and enjoy it.

I got the strip. It was damn good.
We shared apps: braised pork belly, sear Ahi Tuna, Onion Rings,
We also shared sides: Freddie Mac, spinach soufflé,......
I was stuffed. Too stuffed to go out in the rain afterwards.
Steak was great. Apps we're great. Sides were very good, but not great.
Thanks all.
