At the combine. Seems like he had an off day cause he is way faster than that. This just goes to show you that its not all about combine results. You have to watch the film, cause if you would have watched Jeremy Hills film at LSU you would have seen that all he did was break big runs and rarely, if ever, got caught from behind. really rare blend of size and speed.

People act like 4.6 is slow for a rb. What do you think Marshawn Lynch's current 40 time is?

He's the slowest fast guy I've seen

He looks like he's running in slow motion but he runs by everyone

Anybody who watched Hill at LSU knew he was faster than a 4.6 anything. He also had one of the fastest 10 yard splits at the RB position, which shows you his explosion.

Cincy had enough sense to see this. Icant believe the other teams didnt draft him sooner. The RB position is so undervalued right now. Cincy had other needs and still took Hill. The 3rd RB taken, btw.

football on-field real speed and acceleration are what matters

His 40 times are shockingly bad for his elite breakaway speed. And yes he does have elite breakaway speed, he's the only RB besides Trindon Holliday and Keiland Williams who could just run away from LBs and even DBs.

4.66 is about right for a back of his size. It's not blazing but it's plenty fast.

"football speed" is a real thing. Some guys ran fast in a sprint with no pads and just going against a stop watch. Other guys, like Hill, run fast when it really counts - in pads during live action. Dude is a bad arse.

40 time without pads on and game speed are completely different.

TM ran a 4.50 at th combine. Jared Cook ran a 4.50 as well. Yet TM ran his arse down and forced a fumble.

Acceleration and agility are both more important than straight line speed for RBs. With that said, JH possesses quality in all three traits. Power and perennial vision are also very important. He is exceptionally gifted there as well.

On that 80 yard run last night he accelerated at about 50 yards in.

Shaun Alexander ran a 4.77 at the combine. Hill is a beast and broke off long runs in pads. He is one of the best in the nfl.
