It was an episode of This American Life that was stretched out for 12 hours and repackaged as the Serial Podcast.

Maybe I was just tired, but I didn't find that funny at all.

If you're a fan of Serial or TAL, you'd possibly enjoy it. We thought it was funny.

A couple of years ago they were going to have Fred Armistan show up on Weekend Update as Ira Glass from TAL. Lorn Michaels thought that not enough of the audience would know who Ira Glass was, so they dropped it after rehearsal.

Maybe that's why, but I thought it was fricking horrible.

I do have a buddy who LOVES the Serial podcast though. I wonder if he liked this skit (he loves SNL).

Maybe that is it then. Never heard of either of those.

Yeah, it makes no sense if you don't listen to Serial.

But the Sarah Koenig impression was unreal good, and the Adnan/Kris Kringle was really good too. Neesha call and Mailchimp are both things Serial people understand.

I was in awe watching it, my gf, who doesn't listen to Serial, had no clue what was going on.

The skit wasn't that funny exactly, what was great was how they nailed everything about the show, even how Adnan talks and the horrible grating way his attorney spoke to Jay.

By the way, to go off topic -- I'm convinced his attorney is why Adnan ended up in jail. The way she cross-examined Jay, who came across as being a sympathetic, very polite young man, I'm sure that pissed off the jury.

I don't get the negative comments in this thread? If you know what Serial is you'll get the jokes and other comments in the video.

I have no idea what it is, but people shed some light on it when I asked in the official topic. I don't watch/listen to the podcast thing, but either way I thought it was way too long to the point where it was just boring.

12 episodes that range between 30-50 minutes is way too long? Eh...

Maybe I'm off base. But, that's a decent amount of time to get into a series. Especially a well told story and something that has never been done before.

NPR show about various things. It's interesting. It's mostly beloved by liberals, but it's not usually noticeably biased.
