I always thought sweatpants were pj's.
I typically wear khakis or jeans and a button down, but I find that comfortable.
I don't really care what others wear though.

. I just don't understand, though, how we reached a point in society where people determined that wearing normal clothes was somehow "uncomfortable."

Sorta my point. Since when did looking presentable be uncomfortable. These kids want to be taken seriously, they should at least dress like it.

Of my 30-40 trips this year, I've had sweatpants on for one of them...and it was a 6am flight on a Sunday morning after an LSU game.
Jeans, drivers, and a polo are not uncomfortable for travel.

Yeah, if you can't throw on a pair of jeans or chinos and be comfortable, then you must be one fat frick.

I spend one month of the year or more in an airport and I'm embarrassed for some of the people that sit in first class now. Wish we had a dress code like a nice restaurant. You can still be comfortable in business casual; there's no need for your camo hoodie, redneck hat with fishing hook on the bill, bottle of spit, and flip flops, Mr. Whitetrash. #HeMad

I wear pants with a polo. I usually need at least business casual in case they lose my luggage.
I also wear closed toe shoes.
I don't care what others wear.

On a different note, it never fails I see a few smoking hot babes at the airport. Definitely one of my favorite parts of flying.

You're being herded like cattle, might as well dress like it.

Must wear piece of clothing with school name on it.

This. Jeans end up just riding into your crotch and giving you a ballsack wedgie.

No they aren't but I like to sleep on the plane and sleeping in sweatpants, "nice" polo or nike ones not wal-mart generic ones, and a hoodie is just WAY better than sleeping in a button up shirt and slacks.

This has been happening for a long time.
I do agree that it shows a large degree of laziness and no self respect, though. I always wear jeans and a button down shirt and I find it to be very comfortable.

I don't even own sweat pants or a sweatshirt, and i sure as hell wouldn't wear them out of the house if I did.

You see people wear clothes at the airport that might fit in at the bus station.
Wear a suit or nice slacks and a sports coat. You can have comfortable, but nice clothes.
