NFL has an actual offseason. Recruiting never ends, so I'd rather coach in the NFL. I rather college football, though. As a fan.

Each have their pros and cons.

In NFL you need to build a roster under a $$$ cap and deal with diva athletes that are only worried about their paycheck - which is generally comparable or more than yours.

In CFB, you get total control but have to go visit 14-19 year olds that have no clue about the world and kiss their arse to possibly consider coming to play for you.

Personally I'd probably prefer the NFL, but I think CFB is an easier job - not hours worked, but the control.

Easily NFL

Never an offseason In college. Babysit kids and make sure they go to class, keep grades up, and don't get arrested. Plus, you have to recruit basically year round.

NFL is grueling 16 hour days during the season but you have months off before the draft prep starts. Then breaks in between mini camps, OTAs, and season.

CFB as a fan, NFL as a coach. Although in the NFL if your GM sticks a big contract on a QB and it doesn't work, you're fired.

College recruiting is a grind but you get more control over your players. I would pick NFL though. The perks are way better and you can lock in good players to have long term success.

College.... NFL would be a tough gig having to spend as much time trying to corral egos from guys who make more money than you do...... the control at the college level would make it a better gig.

I'm more passionate about college football, but I think it would depend on how I felt about recruiting. I don't think I would be a good recruiter as I would have a hard time stroking the inflated egos of many of these current big time recruits.

Remember when spurrier commented on how Jim haslett fell asleep in his office because he worked too many hours?

The talk then Brought to the surface that nfl coaches spent way more hours than a college coach, game planning.

Did any clarification come out about that?

Seems to me that there would be no difference in gameplanning time spent between a college coach and nfl.

Pros easily.

Your job isn't dependent on begging attention whore 17 year olds to come to your school

The money ceiling and floor is higher in the pros and of I get canned, I can easily find work at the lower levels.

This.

And I like CFB wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more

NFL.

I'm a huge fan of both LSU and the Saints. As great as the BCS titles were, the Super Bowl is just that much better.

If we're painting with a broad, generic brush then NFL. None of the bullshite of recruiting and if you land with a team with at least decent ownership you'll be alright.

That said, I'd take the bullshite of recruiting on a college level if I ended up with one of the worst teams in the league based on ownership. I imagine it'd be pretty damn miserable to try to coach with a front office running everything and you have little say in it (especially while you watch them effectively torpedo everything).
