We've been shite for like 5-6 years now.
Is it really that hard to think the right coach can make us a power in college football again?
Damn you guys are touchy.

It is not hard to see UM as a power in college football again with the right coach. However, you are going to have to find an up-and-comer, not an established coach.
It is hard to understand how every UM poster thinks that the school is in a position to cherry pick from the best coaches in the country.

Miles to Michigan is far more likely to happen than Harbaugh.

Period
I get the feeling that the bulk of the "Les needs to go" crowd are the fans that really grew up in the Dinardo / Saban years. Those fans that feel like a 9 or 10 win season is a gimmee every year.
Incidentally, these younger crowds are also the ones that grew up with the internet and feel much more entitled to voice every little dumbass thought that pops into their canabis clouded brain cells.
I'm 45, and I know a lot of LSU fans my age. None of them want Les gone. Maybe I just hang out with a bunch of dumbasses. Oh well, wouldn't be the first time.

If he wanted the job a few years ago, he'd have the job
Oh wait, they came down to "consult" with him

It is Michigan admin's fault to not make it happen the last two times.
They simply didn't think that he was a good enough coach to offer him the job. The same thing happened at LSU. Bertman had to beg and plead with the board to hire him at LSU. You have to ask yourself why would you hire a coach that is consistently being out coached.

Yeah. LSU job is as good as Michigan's.
No. In 2014 (or 2007 or 2011 for that matter), it's better. Almost alone by virtue of the disparity in high school talent in Louisiana vs. Michigan.
Glad someone said it. Michigan is not LSU level program in reality anymore. LSU is easily better than Michigan. Better talent pool to pick from, better talent in nearby areas. Michigan has history, thats about it, but have sucked for the last 6 years easily.

The state of Michigan is dried up talent-wise. Ohio St. owns Ohio, and even Michigan St. is playing a huge role. Michigan isnt the Michigan of 20 years ago.

But no longer is.......I hope yall are enjoying mediocrity nicely.
No one GAF about Michigan lol. 46-40 since 2008 with two season going (5-7) and in 2008 you went (3-9). A losing record my friend is not just a rebuilding year, or a "down" year. That's just shite, pure shite.

Maybe the state of Michigan can support one quality team, but it's no longer UM?

Or its only now capable of supporting 1 program instead of supplementing a couple before. Mich St. is top 10 this year, but still not exactly a top 10 program. Maybe top 20? I know Dantonio makes top 5 money.

If they don't get Harbaugh, will they take a run at Miles? If they both say no to their old school, Michigan may have to go the way of UAB.

Don't feel bad, if he wanted it he'd be there. The position sucks compared to LSU
