Legos are the best but I also loved green army men and Star Wars action figures.

Old school Legos that were just generic pieces that could make anything you could imagine? Yes, best toy ever.

Modern day Legos that come in a box, make one specific toy and instead of encouraging imiganination teaches a kid to follow instructions? Not so much.

It's really no contest. The LEGO Movie makes a perfect case on why it is the greatest toy of all time.

Love LEGOs. There is still a huge wooden box filled with them in my parents' house, safely packed away.

Legos are great but the new sets have too many specialty pieces that don't interchange with other sets.

Lite Brite is now a portable, handheld, battery operated device that the pegs are damn near impossible to remove once inserted. I damn near had to beak out a needle nose pliers to help my kid. How a toy manufacturer could screw up such a simple toy is surprising.

My kid still loves drawing/coloring, sidewalk chalk and the other classics.

I have a girl and Hasbro is to be commended for their longevity in marketing of the My Little Pony brand.

The iPad is a favorite too. Kid rules at Fruit Ninja.

I had this one among many others.

Worth quite a bit these days.

One of my brother's boys is getting a new technic set as a Christmas gift, I kinda want to buy one for myself too...
