and then everyone else goes, "but the way that he treats everyone else should tell you about the type of person he is. his interactions with others say a lot about his character and you shouldn't waste your time."

and then she's all "you guys just dont know him like i do. he's the sweetest guy. mind your own business."

and you know where that girl is today? she's dead

Nah.

As long as you're not:

1) A hot chick who used to be married to O.J.
2) A guy screwing his hot chick ex-wife
3) Someone who stole his Heisman and other memorabilia

You're proabably safe around O.J.

I played roulette with Vinny Testaverde at Harrah's in NOLA. He was a jerk.

I don't have shite in the way of these stories. I did meet Jimmy Graham at Whole Foods. I made a point to go up to him but then he stood next to me in checkout. Nice guy. Met a few Pelicans players too, but too briefly to gauge them.

I went to play laser tag with some friends for my 12th birthday, and Jerry Rice was in the house. I had a mechanical pencil and paper to get his autograph, but his family shut me down.

My dad took me to the skins game down in Palm Springs one year, and there were a bunch of celebrities there. My favorite part was my dad bugging me to go get Jermaine Jackson's autograph. I was like "dad, I don't wanna bug the guy". And my dad said "Don't worry, he'll love it". Sure enough, Jermaine was thrilled at the attention from a kid who didn't really know who he was.

I prefer to think that OJ is not too different from Nordberg.

I was at Karl Malone's restaurant in Ruston the day before the Game of the Century Part one. I was eating there before heading to Tuscaloosa and suddenly there was a 7 foot tall black man standing behind me. Told me I was wearing the wrong colors (LSU shirt) to be eating there.

I've gotten to play hakeem Olajuwon one on one a couple times at lifetime fitness in Houston. He is one of the nicest people I've met and even at age 50 it's amazing to watch how smooth he is on the court

I've crossed paths with tons of players and coaches during the week of the Senior Bowl in my life.

but I haven't ever really gone out of my way to stop them and try and have a chat.

I did go up shake and hands with Sean Payton though shortly after he took the Saints job. Saw him at a bar during Senior Bowl week and actually talked to him for about a minute.. maybe longer. Seemed like a nice guy who was excited about his new coaching opportunity.

I met Vaughn Johnson(former Saints LB) at this place called Old Bay Steamer in Fairhope several years ago. I was about 17?? Anyway, that dude had a vice grip handshake... like seriously.

met Lee Roy Jordan a few times... same with Chris Samuels (former Alabama/Redskins) offensive tackle.

I'm still under the impression that it might be Thurl Bailey, just coming to Ruston to hang out with Malone.

Can't be more awkward than meeting one of his grown bastard children for the first time.

Carlos Boozer is from Juneau and attended the same HS where I taught.

I see Larry Czonka from time to time. He has some outdoor shows in Ak and has a home in Anchorage. Extremely nice guy.

Talked with Bo Jackson at White Sox Fest this past Spring. Awesome guy.

Was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a kid and Muhammad Ali was there. Lots of people were asking him for autographs, but I didn't bother. At the end of the day, I was looking at t-shirts in the gift shop and he walked up beside me to look at another rack of shirts. We looked at each other and he just smiled at me.

Met Theo Ratliff in Empire State building.

Met Todd Walker in an elevator in Nola.

That's about it outside of shaking hands before games.

Probably about 15 years ago, I went to a Detroit Pistons preseason game (vs. Dallas?). I see then coach Alvin Gentry sitting with an assistant coach up in the stands, maybe 10-12 rows up, watching the teams warm up. Not sure why I did this, but I walked right up to him, and sat down in the chair next to him, and asked him how the team was doing and if he had a good gameplan for the game. He was probably like, 'what the heck.' I was around 15 years old.

He was nice.
