SMU hires DeSoto HC Claude Mathis as the RB Coach

DeSoto hasn't won any titles (the last three years Allen beat them) but they produce a ton of D-1 talent.
It will be interesting to see if they can do what Patterson is doing at TCU (pull some talent that doesn't want to leave the area or feels more comfortable in a smaller school).

if his Texas HS connections are all they're cracked up to be Morris is going to turn SMU around in a hurry.

It seems like his staff is being filled w/ Clemson GA's over the past 2 years and Texas HS coaches. Not sure that is a winning combo, but at least he'll have 100% control over the program.
