It is, but the music tends to be overly pricey for the average night

The ability to experience the Stanton Moore Trio or Dr Lonnie Smith is priceless

You can't really eat and enjoy the music at Snug. The dining room is totally separated from the music hall, and while they try to play the live music through the sound system, its hard to hear it.

Kermit used to cook red beans and rice or bbq for Thursday night shows. He gave up the Thursday night slot to Cory Henry I think,

He moved to Houston

Vaughns on a Thursday night when Kermit was playing/cooking was prob one of New Orleans' best kept secrets.

I went several times when I lived down there. It's really sad that they don't do that anymore. That was some of the best BBQ I'd ever tasted.

This. Out of all the fantastic places in New Orleans, I make it a point to visit Three Muses more than anywhere else when I'm back in town.

Bacchanal is an excellent choice.

I'll add Little Gem's Saloon.
