They don't have enough money for cameras because they're amassing armored personnel carriers and various other military vehicles.

Seems like they could be at least partially paid for by the savings on not having to pay lawyers to defend as many lawsuits. It also seems like insurance carriers would be willing to give a discount for wearing them as it saves them from paying out settlements for false accusation lawsuits. If an officer is good and does their job they should want the protection from false accusations.

I was on a jury where footage was shown from the camera the police officer was wearing on his shirt when he arrived at the crime scene. He said he only uses it when he thinks he'll need to...so it isn't always on his person.

Here's a question I'll ask again: why don't we all just obey the laws of this country?

that's a good question. you should ask all 316 million people that populate this country, including police officers.

Why don't we make a law that everyone has to wear a camera 24/7. That should clear things up.

well, the all police officers wear a camera approach would be more economical, for one. And much easier to manage.

Since when has that always stopped cops from being unlawful in their actions?

The cameras aren't that expensive.

I guess it somehow violates the rights of the police officers? Police officers have privacy rights too.
