He has 66 assists versus 13 TOs. Over his last 5 he has 30 assists and just 4 turnovers.
He's 4th in the NBA in AST/TO at 5.08.
Has his highest PER of his career(19.16)
2nd lowest turnover among starting PGs
Top 5 in assist ratio among starting PGs
All of these stats are far better than what he put up in philly(and even last year)

He's been good so far, but there are some areas he could improve on
He misses some passes on pick and rolls that make me want to tear my hair out
He's been really solid around the basket and just creating shots in general and has taken care of the ball, so I'm pretty happy

We did what we didn't do for CP. And I love it.

If Holiday shot a little bit better, he would be unstoppable. He's having a really good year though.

I go back and forth on him and Ryno as to who our the 2nd best player, but both are playing well.

All of this while Omer Asik is averaging:
9ppg
10rpg
1.5apg
0.5spg
1.3bpg
0.9tov
and shooting 60.9% from the field with 55.2% from the stripes
Taking my defensive center and running.

That's better than I expected. Holiday is looking great so far. He's had a bunch of really good games offensively as well. In hindsight the trade looks so much better now .

I always thought the Holiday trade was a good move. The problem is that most people tie it to the Evans trade. With Holiday and Gordon already on the roster, the Evans trade was the questionable move. It does seem like they're starting to work out how to share the ball better, so I'm still willing to give it time to develop before I call either trade bad.

He's done a great job facilitating and running the offense so far this year

David Fisher @usnfish
Jrue Holiday & Tyreke Evans combine for 31.4 PPG, 13.6 APG, 9.1 RPG and a 3.5 Assist-to-Turnover ratio. That's not bad.

Near 4:1 Ast:TO ratio? That's CP3 caliber.

Only thing he isn't doing well is shooting from the field.
His defense has been phenomenal. And he should regain his shooting form as the season wears on.

Crowing about Holiday being better than 2 rookies is silly. That was the whole point of the trade- no gestation period. I would hope he outperforms them right now. And he has been good this year.
Some context though:
Noel is putting up 8/8 w/ 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists (3 TOs) PER 36. For a rookie big, that's a solid start. His offense is a mess, but that is expected.
Payton is already good, 5 Reb, 7 Ast, 2 Stl PER 36. He just can't shoot. That may kill his potential, but he is doing lots of other things that make him useful.
Both of those guys need time, like all rookies. The Pelicans didn't want to wait and made moves accordingly.
The pissing contest about the trade is stupid right now. I see "experts" like Fisher and McNamara bring it up only after Holiday has a good game. Didn't see much chatter after the stinker in Portland. The reality is both teams can "win" the trade. Sixers and the Pels had different motives and have different goals. Let's see what happens over the next couple of years
