ObamaCare architect mouths off again, as videos cause problems for Dems
LINK /
The mouth that won't stop giving -- and that has Democrats and the Obama administration cringing -- has been caught shooting off yet again on video, this time bragging how the Massachusetts health care system he helped design worked by ripping off millions of dollars from the federal government.
quote:
One video, from a January 2012 forum, shows Gruber discussing the Massachusetts overhaul under then-Gov. Mitt Romney. He explained how the state was able to bilk the feds over hundreds of millions of Medicaid dollars.
"The dirty secret in Massachusetts is the feds paid for our bill, okay?" he said. "In Massachusetts we had a very powerful senator you may know named Ted Kennedy. ... Ted Kennedy and smart people in Massachusetts had basically figured out a way to sort of rip off the feds for about 400 million dollars a year."
quote:
Even though Pelosi claimed she wasn't familiar with Gruber, other Democrats have made clear they know him -- and are not happy with him.
On CNN, former White House press secretary Jay Carney said of the tapes, "It's not good" and acknowledged he helped write ObamaCare and the Massachusetts law.
Gruber is the gift that keeps on giving. I bet a lot of people in Washington wish he had an off switch right about now.

The big difference here is that he said all this over the course of about 6 years, NOT that he is suffering from diarrhea of the mouth like a Joe Biden.
Him going unnoticed for so long means that there could be all kinds of shite out there that can be uncovered.

Some are actively looking for it.
Others are actively looking for it ... to destroy/bury it.

Am I the only one who has learned to not expect any major repercussions or backlash for Democrats?
Nothing will become of this. Probably

Well what are you going to run with as your nightly news lead?
This guy(boring) or Mitts girly folder and a horse?

There's no backlash for anyone once you're at a high enough level.

Nothing will DIRECTLY happen to Dems... But this will likely play into the SCOTUS decision on exchanges and other things.
BTW, I am hoping they have proof Kagan, as Solicitor General, was in the room on some of these discussions. I'd love to get her recused from the case.

That would be huge...

Wouldn't the Obamacare architect claiming how shitty it really is be more newsworthy then Mitt's binder or Ann's horse?

I had not considered her connection since this Gruber stuff hit the fan. That would be awesome if she had any knowledge of the deceit.

It was news worthy for some outlets. To others, it was more important to discuss a fabricated school yard fight that supposedly occurred 50 years ago.

This must be what Freeman felt like yesterday when he posted about Jindal, Duck Dynasty, and Movie tax credits in one thread.

dishonesty in the law making process should not impact the courts one iota.
Even if obama lied, it should have no bearing on the ruling by the courts. otherwise its clear the courts are completely corrupt. They are supposed to be above politics, not knuckle dragging like the rest.
As for gruber, dean probably wants a flux capacitor to go back and shut him up!

It goes beyond "dishonesty in the law".
This asshat has submitted an amicus brief on this case saying the exact opposite of what he has been caught saying on film.
I don't think SCOTUS looks favorably on that kind of thing.

If they can place her in the same room with Gruber and Obama crafting these lies...it will be huge.

For the case that is front of the courts now? Definitely surprised if the gov't is still using his data to back up their assertions.

MIT will go after him now. This is clear ethics violations of his professorship.
