He may not be the best freshman RB in the SEC. Nick Chubb is impressive.

Jamal Lewis way back when for Tennessee had over 1300 yards as a true FR.

No doubt their are others, Lattimore, Yeldon(who does fumble more) and various RBs from other conferences.
Hill was very good from the get go and as someone mentioned Chubb.

Look, I don't want to trade LF, he is an LSU guy from Louisiana and a damn good player that might be an AA before he is finished here. I'm just being realistic at this point.

Lewis had 232 att for 5.9 avg

LF has 152 for 4.8 avg with two games to go. Average should go up especially against A&M

FTR Peterson had 339 attempts (holy shite) for 5.7 avg

LF is having a great True Freshman season. Everyone was just expecting the Jesus Christ of running backs due to the hype. He will never touch 300 rushing attempts, so I seriously doubt he reaches 1900 in one season. Miles would be doing him a huge favor by keeping his attempts around 250 per season.

He's not a bust, but he hasn't lived up to the hype.

I've only heard trolls on the SEC Rant say this after he didn't score six touchdowns against Wisconsin. If you frequent that Board, I can see how you'd think its actually a thing; its not.

I don't get it

he is on pace to finish over 1,000 yards, 10 TDs and a 5 YPC average as a freshman in the SEC West

what the frick did you people expect?

What people? Only an idiot - beyond, even, the level of idiocy normally present on tRant - would say something like that.

I said before the season that I'd be beyond excited if he managed 800 yds and 10 tds.

Looks like he'll get to 1,000 and 10 plus. thats grown man numbers, bruh. I have zero beef with LF.

A bust, no way. Living up to his Adrian Peterson-esque, once a 25 year RB, yeah he's not that.

I don't think Adrian Peterson would've put up the numbers he did as a freshman if he played in today's SEC.

Agreed. Fournette has gone up against 3 of the top ten defenses in the country and shared carries with 3 other guys. I would have preferred that someone else had returned KO's and seen him carry 5-7 more times per game. He'd already be over 1000 yards had he done that.
There's a few disappointments for me with this year's Tiger team(though I predicted 10-3 which is still attainable) however, LF is not one of them. Kid's a truly great talent.

So far this season LSU is averaging 4.5 yards per rush. LSU's opponents are at 4.4.

That is actually in line with how we have run. The 5.03 from last year was the outlier.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems LSU has had several 50-70 plus yard TD runs for many years. Hopefully they will get some in the next three games.

Over the past 5 years, with this year being the 5th, LSU had 6 50+ yard runs in 2013 (5 by Hill). They had 2 in 2012 (both by Hilliard). They had 1 in 2011, and none in 2010.
