It's a shockingly light sentence. I wonder if she has a screw loose. She's incredibly lenient. Why do we have laws at all with this kind of punishment?

Shortly before the accident, Misha Carson, who was living in Hammond at the time, had stopped to check on a motorist involved in a separate accident on the interstate near College.
On the interstate or shoulder?

Cvitanovich pleaded no contest in September to a felony hit-and-run driving charge in the case. He faced up to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutor just as much to blame for allowing this.

Is that the same judge that made a thug write an apology letter for a gun charge and then he went on to shoot the mother and daughter in Beauregard Town?

Are the facts stated in this comment after the article true?

"Lets make sure we are up to date on Judge Trudy White's scorecard:

1. Kelsye Hall - 5 counts of negligent homicide - Sentenced to 2 years! (thats about 5 months per homicide) by Judge Trudy White
2. Dalvin Sewell (Lengthy violent criminal history including arrest for 2nd degree murder) - Convicted of 1st Degree Robbery which carries up to 40 years - Sentenced to the minimum 3 years by Judge Trudy White.
3. Princess Beachem - Did cocaine while carrying a child, who died as a result - Arrested for Feticide - Charge dropped by Judge Trudy White.

and lets not forget:

4. Aramis Jackson - Arrested in 2009 for a weapons charge - Charge dropped by Judge Trudy White. White told Jackson to perform acts of kindness. His first act of kindness was killing Alexandra Engler and shooting her 9 year old daughter several times before stealing their TV."

Judge Trudy White should be shot for her bullshite treatment of Aramis Jackson.

She is partially responsible for the Beauregard Town murder. She sentenced that little shite to "acts of kindness" on an illegal gun charge. He should have been behind bars the day he committed that murder but Trudy White had to be a stupid count.

How she hasn't been chased out of Baton Rouge by a mob is beyond me.

A no contest plea carries the same weight as a guilty plea in criminal court but cannot be used as an admission of guilt in any civil proceeding. Curtis Carson’s lawsuit against Cvitanovich in Baton Rouge state court is pending.

And plead no contest to force litigation in the civil suit. What a guy.
