Yea, because blue chip recruits determine where they'll go play football based on the students. :roll eyes:

I'm sure the fact that LSU sends more players to the NFL than any other college has nothing to do with it.

I've yet to hear a single recruit say the reason he/she chose LSU was because of the student body. LMAO

I assumed that the people who actually went to LSU would remember doing the same thing as students, and the sidewalk fans were the ones who thought all the fans at the games were prim and proper the whole time.

Obviously I underestimate the number of hypocrites.

I received the e-mail from Alleva this morning and thought it was appropriate. I was embarrassed when I heard the Saban chant on TV Saturday night.

When I started reading some of the comments in this thread, I thought about responding to them to refute what I see as lame arguments in support of the chant. I'm not going to do that.

I also come from a family of LSU alumni. Besides me, Mom, Dad, and two uncles all went to LSU, paid tuition, went to football games, and graduated. I can't speak for the whole family, but I have supported LSU financially and otherwise since I graduated.

I'm not advocating the deployment of profanity police in the student section. I would just appreciate a little more class than what I heard Saturday night.
