Do the hop on/hop off bus instead. The tour guides are very good IMO

Lived here for about a year and a half so I don't claim to be an expert but always happy to give recommendations.

I would highly recommend doing the Harpoon Brewery Tour over Sam Adams.

Depending on your budget I can suggest tons of great places to eat or grab a drink.

There's really nothing to see at Quincy Market and it's something you can do during the Freedom Trail. Speaking of the FT, I really would recommend not doing a guided tour. Download the FT app and go at your own pace. Also, stop in the Bell in Hand and Green Dragon during the tour. Very historic bars that were frequented by Paul Revere et al back in the day.

ETA- you're thinking of the MFA (Museum of a Fine Arts). It's awesome. Went during their exhibit of the Magna Carta. If you like history, I also highly recommend the JFK Library

Also, I didn't see going to Harvard on your list. I would do that if you can fit it in your schedule.

Hope you have a great time. It's a beautiful city.

If you can, plan a ferry trip to Salem. We did and loved it.

Salem was cool as shite. Spent nearly a whole day there.
Boston is awesome. Went for the first time in May. Can't wait to go back. You'll have a great time.

Hope you don't smoke cigs tho. They're like $10 a pack. No joke.

I went two years ago for a Red Sox's game. Harbour tour is a must. Also, check out the aquarium right next to it if you're into that kind of stuff. I thought it was pretty cool myself. Take a tour of Harvard too, but watch out cause their students will just jump right into the crosswalks with not a single glance at traffic. I guess it's some yankee rule to where they can walk wherever the hell they want.

Go to Santarpio's Pizza right by the airport. We got that suggestion from right here on TD OT and it was a great one!

Do Harpoon instead

That's at the end of the Freedom Trail. You can walk all the way up to the top of the monument too.

If you're with women bring them to Newbury street. Lots of shopping to do there.

We went to the Cheers bar which was pretty sweet.

I went to Boston this past May for 5 days for leisure. I would recommend two things.

1. Duck Tour (they are touristy but are very informative and fun)

2. Freedom Trail BACKWARDS!!!

Nobody tells you their is very limited public transportation in Charlestown once you finish the Freedom Trail. It is not the greatest feeling to climb a 300 step monument on Bunker Hill and then have to walk back across the bridge to Boston proper.

Do the trail BACKWARDS, end in the city center

Do yourself and don't go to Sam Adams. Go to Harpoon instead. Better beer and better tour
