Baby boomers fricked this country. Saddled the younger generations with debt and want hand outs because they didn't save for retirement. Take the Medicare and shove it up your arse.

Because the basis of those complaints are ill-informed or misdirected.
quote:

Spoiled. Entitled. Narcissistic. Coddled by their parents and told all their lives that they are the center of the universe.
That describes the boomers more than the millennials, as millennials are getting a shite return on their investment and know it; thanks to the boomers. Boomers started at the top at worked their way to the bottom, destroying everything they touched on their way down. Now millenials are left with the task of reversing that and are being shat on by.... wait for it... the boomers, the catalyst of this shite show.

Again, your premise is whack.
quote:

They bitch about the direction of the country but DON'T VOTE
Good. Voting won't be responsible for the necessary culture change. Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods and rarely anything more.
quote:

Too addicted to technology to hang out someplace without a cell signal for more than 30 minutes. Unable to have normal social interaction, as in a live conversation, without checking their phones.
1. Broad brush. That's a strawman. That doesn't hold true for everyone. People still loving going outside, traveling, etc.
2. You often have to have technology to compete in this society. Without a cellphone that includes voicemail, internet, email, and texting, I wouldn't be able to perform the job I have now. It's a necessity in many cases, whether you like it or not.
quote:

Oh, and they hate corporations
I'd say that's a minority of people who speak at a louder volume than the majority. Also, there has been a ton of shady, back-alley shite enacted by some corporations, with the help of the govt., over the past 20 years; thanks, boomers.
quote:

are generally ignorant of how markets work
Nobody knows how to frick up the market like the boomers. Our grandchildren will pay the price of those mistakes. Also, young people have kept pro-market iconoclasts like Gary Johnson and Ron Paul on tv for the past 8 years. They're the most conservative revolutionaries to reach the spotlight since Goldwater.
quote:

They are individualists who fail to see how tattoos and piercing might, just maybe, possibly affect their career options.
You're a person who fails to see that today, less career options are affected by tattoos. Tattoos don't restrict people from the big bucks, in many cases, like the old days.
quote:

They really don't want to work.
Wrong. Finding jobs is the problem here. Thanks, boomers.
quote:

Except they work hard at hooking up.
First time any generation has ever done this in the history of the Earth. I'm not sure how we even got here without Tinder.
quote:

And removing body hair. They are obsessed with body hair. They preen in front of mirrors, at home and at the gym (especially at the gym).
Keep your fetishes and fantasies out of this.
quote:

They love to tell the world how liberal they are, but their understanding of "liberal" doesn't go much father than gay marriage and pot legalization.
Apparently both "being liberal" and "being conservative" meant racing towards ~18 trillion in debt to the boomers.

We are all doomed. DOOMED.
Nah, the boomers will be dead soon.

***BONUS QUESTION*** I went to college. Tuiton was 300% higher than when you graudated(if you are a baby boomer). Why is that?

I just saw this. I ain't no got damn baby boomer man. I can legally retire in 30 years if they don't raise it again and I'm not counting on any SS monies.

That's absurd. Maybe the younger ones with their twits and vines, but I can deal just fine without my phone at work. I only use it on breaks anyways.

The world is different today. Men used to come home after work and sit on the couch while the wife cooked, cleaned, took care of kids, etc. I've seen very few diapers changed by the older generation. Now all of this responsibility is shared pretty equally and most households have both parents working.

Those who were teenagers or college age during the 1980's are currently the best.

I think people hate on the Millenials because they're jealous. We do what we want and we're better at it than you. #getoverit

The baby boomers are too broadly classified. It is generally considered those born 1946-64. I was born 1961. I consider there to be a big fricking difference between people born 1946-56 and those born 1960-64. We have always been getting the leftovers of those people and we get lumped in with them.

Of course, the first prez my age is obama so we suck too I guess. Actually he arose from affirmative action inflicted upon US by THEM (along with the cohort born from 1935-1945 who influenced the older baby boomers so much).

I look at the idiots my age who I know who had the most kids the soonest and no wonder the kids are fricked up. We really do have stupid people breed the most and we wonder why we have so many fricked up kids.

No Ace, you've got it wrong. They are smarter than us old folks. You need to go sit down with them for a while so maybe you can gain some wisdom and insight from them.

I personally plan on spending at least a couple hours a day going forward listening to the wise words of TH03. I mean, sure he looks like a loser. He's getting up in his 20s, doesn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. And he bags groceries for a living, and other than partying and chasing pussy has zero experience in anything we'd consider to be real life, but he's a millienal and thus he's just naturally wise.

I've been young and I am old. I have the experience to say you're full of shite. How can you make an assumption about how the game is played if you haven't been on the field yet?

FWIW - most Gen Xers consider you late boomers more with us, than with "them".

My father was born in the late 30s - silent generation laughed at the boomers. My in-laws insist they're "War Babies" born in 1944 and 1945. My mother was born in 1946 and refused to be associated with the baby boom in any way. They couldn't all be throwbacks. The late boomers, like yourself, do it as well. You can't all be contrarians - I think it is an overt rejection of what the Baby Boom has presided over.

I worked 5 years in the oil business, had a house built when I was 22, got engaged and broken up, sold the house, moved over here to start over, and now I'm a department manager at a heath food store.

Yeah, no real life experience whatsoever.

And if you had a brain, you'd realize I never once insinuated that I was wiser than anyone else, older or younger than me.

If you think any of that is impressive then you're more ignorant than I thought. You're just getting started. Come back in 20 years and then maybe you can say you've done something.

BTW, I know a girl who is a manager of a health food store. She'll be graduating HS in May.
