No more liberal hacks will be appointed to federal benches.
A lot of Republican bills sitting on your dumb azz Majority leaders desk will now get voted on, and will put your liberal Democratic Senators on record which they will have to defend in 2 years.
Si keep thinking the senate majority doesn't mean anything.
Of course it doesn't, that's why 100's of millions of dollars is being spent on the elections.

There are 3. The GOP's going to need to reconcile them.
But unless they have a veto proof majority nothing can be done until a GOP President is elected.
There are a few things they can do in the funding department though.

Our best bet is that it will not increase as fast as it would, otherwise, otherwise, I agree.
Hopefully, we get some type of help sealing our borders. Will be interesting to see what President Obama does if such a bill were to cross his desk. If he vetoes it, I would imagine that a lot of Democrats up for election in 2016 will cringe...
I think the best thing about the possibility of the Republicans taking the Senate is how fun it will be to sit back and watch the gridlock. I want to see Congress send bills and watch President Obama veto them. He will claim that the Republicans are too "extreme", and the Republicans will call the him President of "NO". A total reversal.

But we'll get some really good senate investigations though...that's always entertaining.
Plus the GOP gets to make Obama veto some bills.

The Tea Party was a movement to alert Republicans that they were tired of RINOS commie boy. I am a registered conservative, not a Republican or a Tea Party member.
Are you mad that all your commie Senator's are getting their azz handed to them?

so basically in your mind, if you're not a prog-leftard, you're an "extreme righty"..
lol
yea Tea Party, which is NOT a political part, has had to go it against GOPers and Dems, and are still nearly as popular as either of you.
Two party rule has been so great for America huh. Well for you big gov idiots I guess it has.

Because the cronies and special interests know they will get a return on their investment into a politician
If a special interest group like a Wall Street Firm spends $5 million on a candidate or group of candidates and know if that politician gets elected it will result in a windfall of $10 million through sweet heart deals, beneficial legislation and kickbacks they will spend the $5 million to get their guy in there.
Most politicians are bought and paid for

I think an R Congress will reign in some of the iRS and NSA abuse, it's a political win for them on both sides of the aisle.
Taxes won't decrease due to Obama veto but they won't increase either. It will basically be "stop the bleeding" until 2016. Supreme Coutt appointments are very important though

of course there will be changes. "Dingy Harry" will no longer be the leader of the Senate and be able to slime the American citizenry with his disgusting, despicable remarks. Not passing U. S. budgets almost the entire time he was leader of the Senate. Again that is fricking despicable. He will no longer be able to hold up Republican bills and they will get voted on and now only the luminous president that is healing the oceans and the very planet will be standing in the way of positive change. No longer having "Dingy Harry" alone will be a breath of fresh air. Liberals should hide in shame.
Also I think Republicans will pass spending cuts, but the President will not go along with it. You are probably right that not much will get passed. But you are wrong if you think Republicans will not propose and pass bills in both houses that reduce spending.

maybe IRS, but republicans love them some spying. they have barely thrown any shite at obama over this, and polling on NSA favors throwing shite.

After six years of change, you want more of it?
Posted on 10/29/14 at 2:18 pm to goldennugget
Harry Reid will not be the senate majority leader and that's all that matters. He is a cancer to American politics.
Posted on 10/29/14 at 2:21 pm to goldennugget
If the GOP had a brain, it would put a bunch of REAL legislation on Obama's desk on things like tax cuts, environmental policy, energy policy, trimming government, eliminating programs and let him veto them. This would set the stage for 2016.

Well one thing will.
The lefties will post a hell of a lot more attacking the Senate majority for anything and everything that is done or not done.

I believe this will be SOP from the get go. But it is counting on smart politicians doing smart things from the party so....
