I think the band first started playing Neck in either 2006, or 2007. I know that it really took off in 2007 when the entire stadium, even the old folks were waving their arms. I think STTDB started becoming audible in early 2010. Had I not been on tigerdroppings, I wouldn't have known what was being said. But by the end of 2010 it was clearly understood by most of the stadium. I think the band had pretty much stopped playing it but gave it one last hurrah at the end of the Bama victory in 2010. Kind of a, "ah, what the heck, Bama deserves it".

What game did STTDB come into its own?

I remember the band stopped playing Oweo after adding "you suck cock" a few years ago during the South Carolina game.

Yes, but what about the children. We have to think about the children and their families. LSU games and tailgates need to remain family-friendly environments.

Shut up pussy. The student section said just as bad or worse in the 50s and 60s.

I was a kid once. There's nothing you can tell a young person that would make them change their mind about this. But, as an older person talking to you young kids, it makes you look like backwoods hilljack rubes.

It was only "suck that tiger dick" for like 2 seasons. The bitch was added fairly recently.

The STTD was my sophomore year I believe. The B was added the following season. That would I believe 2009 and then 2010.

No. But I've heard stories about what comes out of a China man's arse. That's pretty racist.

I don't recall the first time it was said, but I think the catalyst was the 2007 South Carolina game "oh-wee-oh" chant when students added "you suck cocks" to it. Actually made sense for that one, but they kept it up after that game till the band quit playing it. Students were looking to make things vulgar after and STTDB started not too long later.

This. It was my senior year, and I remember the area of the crowd that started the "cocks" addition. I loved Oweo and seeing everybody rock was awesome. The "cocks" part fit so it played for a while after. The band quit playing it during that game, tried again next game and "cocks" was still said, so they quit.

Took them a couple games to play Neck, and it was great. Even better than Oweo.

STTD[B] was not said during 2007. I had no idea what people were referring to when I saw it posted. I personally find it just unnecessary, especially if it means the band will not play the song.

"frick you Tebow" was chanted quite loudly in 2007 after his mocking phone call celebration.

Adding cock after oweo you suck was a failure by the student section. "you suck" was plenty good enough. "You suck cock" sounded lame and of course made them stop playing the song.

Is it true that the CST version of the Bama game in 2010 you could hear them say STTD, Nick?

I wish I had the audio clip.

I don't really understand the concept of being offended as words are words, but I do think there are better words for a chant than STTDB. It's tacky, IMO.
