You knew this was going to be the outcome. Don't act all shocked. It wasn't intentional you moron. But with all the cop hate on this board, you d-bags would have strung the cops up without even hearing/seeing once piece of evidence.

If only there were laws on the books which applied to the unintentional injury of others through a lack of planning or care.

Looking forward to seeing some of the same brainiacs that will be posting their outrage in this thread in the next "how do I get out of jury duty" thread.

Yes, sometimes you have to blow some children's noses off to protect them from drugs.

Read the document that the grand jury put together. They stated that they felt sympathy for the cops and that they showed real regret for their actions which played into them not indicting.

Boo fricking hoo. That is some bullshite right there. What a travesty.

A grand jury of non cops didn't indict based on evidence, point the finger at them too.

This is disgusting as well, when I lived in Texas I saw this kind of thing on several occasions. Sometimes it was blatant murder.

Has it also been noted that the state refused to cover any of the medical bills of the child?

I hope the worst for the pigs involved in that raid.

I see the cop hate group think is in full swing here. What exactly did they do wrong?
There was a warrant for a legal search. They anticipated armed guards, are they supposed to knock on the door be sitting ducks?

Not necessarily. Law enforcement officers are shielded with an initial level of immunity protection. And, winning against a particular officer does not necessarily mean that you win against the department or the municipality. You almost have to prove intentional conduct or conduct so grossly reckless that it counters what just about any other law officer would do; or, in order to reach the department, you have to prove wholly inadequate training procedures.

However, it sometimes occurs in cases as extreme as this seems that settlements are reached in order to avoid public relation nightmares.

LoL. These pigs get warrants based on information from known meth addicts and career criminals, the same ones these pigs beat senseless and jail.

Actually, the castle doctrine has been our standard for a long time, and it worked well with police knocking and allowing the homeowner to have the warrant issued peacefully; these no-knock smash and grabs were a thing of the movies.

If you ask the police--every single time they do anything, they expect para-military combat.

Oops. I accidentally threw that grenade into the same room with an infant in a home where nothing criminal was occuring. It wasn't my responsibility to actually perform a quality investigation.

I don't know, maybe not shoot up a place before they see any sort of actual threat?
