Windows are dangerous to the officer. A glare of any sort and BAM! The officer didn't see the gun and he's dead.

If they followed the law and wore their seatbelts none of this would have happened.

I'm not saying the officers were right, but why not just step out of the car. If they are wrong, failure to comply and arguing is not helping your case at all.
And in on first page

Officer went too far with breaking window, especially with kids in car.
But
Personally, I would have gotten out when he asked me to.

Anyone else think that the cop looked like Stone Cold Steve Austin?

I hate this cop in particular for how he looks and his attitude and what he did, but what is the standard procedure for when someone refuses to exit the car? Obviously, the dickhead should not have requested it, but once he does and feels his penis would shrink if he didn't follow through, what does he do?

This.
They're lucky that's all they got. Not wearing your seatbelt is a serious offense.

Might have something to do with the fact that they had already pulled a gun on him??

Just don't be black and drive. It's simple, guys. DWB is a serious offense.

Well you may know every letter of the law, but if an officer asks me to get out of my car, I'm getting out. You can tell him to frick himself if you want and then even if you get tazed, pepper sprayed, and have your arse kicked, at least you won't be an idiot, huh.

I think the countless examples recently posted prove your theory wrong.

So he thought if he refused to get out they would say, "ah well, forget it. Go ahead young man, have a nice day," ?
ETA: ESPECIALLY if I suspect I have a rogue cop with control issues, I'm not doing anything to give him "an excuse" to escalate the situation.
