Is Cheers the best sitcom of all time?

Part way through season 2, and it's easily the funniest show I've ever seen. It's well written, the jokes are smart, unlike most sitcoms today. And the characters are great. Sam and Diane are great and Coach is hilarious. I have seen random episodes here and there, but never from the beginning. If I had known how great it really was, I wouldn't have waited so long to watch it. And easily the best theme song of all time.
Also, cheers > sinefeld.

you must be a ratard
and to answer your question, NO. The best sitcom of all time is mentioned in your post and every other post in this thread so far though, although it is spelled Seinfeld

Cheers is easily my favorite with MASH second. Frasier probably third. Friends and Seinfeld overated in my book.

Cheers is the most well-rounded show I've ever seen with MASH being a 2nd.
Seinfeld is fantastic and a Top 5 show - but very one note and a specific type of humor.

I just think that the characters are more relatable in cheers. I always thought sinefeld was overrated.

No. Always the answer to the GOAT question.

That is a great one. Its hilarious, but I laugh way harder at Cheers. And it's not close.
Does Cheers get better or worse when Diane and Coach leave? They are pretty much my favorite characters.

I enjoy Cheers, but Seinfeld was basically written for me. It is just my type if humour. It never gets old.

Andy Griffith? You must have sentimental memories of Andy Griffith. It's a good show, but more feel good than anything. Not even in the conversation. Might as well add leave it to beaver.
