Both.

Although that first one was real.

X-Men was also a good call. Also, F4, Spider-Man, and Batman: TAS.

Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Duck Tales, Tail Spin, Gummi Bears.

Says every generation ever. But I agree with you since I'm part of it. It took way too long for Xmen to come up. That show and Batman TAS are the two GOAT shows.

Yeah but it's true for us. Just the ridiculous spread of shows from Animaniacs, Freakazoid, The Tick, etc. to Gargoyles, Batman TAS and Pirates of Dark Water. We had adult-like narrative arcs and insanely zany comedy and everything in between.

The quality alone is tops. Batman TAS is easily the greatest achievement in an animated cartoon for kids ever. I don't think anything comes close.

Yeah, my favorites were
Scooby Doo
The Jetsons
He-Man
GI Joe
The Smurfs
Tom and Jerry
Looney Tunes
Thundercats

Can't think of any more right now, but these were all fun for me as a kid.

On Saturday mornings, I use to enjoy Garfield and Friends. Underrated cartoon. Peewee's Playhouse was also a favorite as a kid.

I loved Batman TAS, and it is arguably the greatest comic book based cartoon. With that said though, I also loved the X-men cartoon also (although I'd still rate TAS a little higher).

But if we're talking the greatest animated cartoon for kids ever, you just can't beat the old Looney Tunes IMO.

Yes and No. As a comedy, as essentially sketches for kids, of course it's tops. It's funny, innovative, charming, and extremely influential.

But story, narrative, character, all the things that REALLY matter, that's BTAS.

In the 80s version of the Hulk cartoon, he also had a previously unknown power and that's how his clothes reappeared whole and unripped when he would transform back into Bruce Banner.
