Try the macaroni and cheese at Verti Mart. It's almost as good as my old country grandmother's which is where my bar is set. Hosepipe noodles.

I like how you always throw in the Sunday mass part. A true God-fearing New Orleansian.

Have.
Verti Marte is underappreciated.
I too use the long macaroni to make mine. Long #7.

That Verti Marte sandwich looks legit... I gotta give that place a try one of these days.

Do you worry about coronary artery disease? I'm sure you're a good candidate for a CABG by age 55.
Seriously man your heart can only take so much even if you aren't obese and have nice hands

If you eat healthy and exercise 5 days a week, I doubt 2 days on the weekend will do what you are saying.
I seem to see these types of comments every once in a while here when someone posts a fatty meal.

I don't normally order jambalaya for take out, but Verdi Marte has a dam good jambalaya. Besides all the sandwiches, my go to plate is a shrimp/oyster combo with jambalaya and smothered green beans

Plus. A lot of the "home cooked" meals people eat daily aren't much better.
My mom made spaghetti, rice and gravy, chicken pot pie, etc. growing up. That shite isn't exactly heart healthy either.

I also fast for Lent. No booze, no red meat, no pork and no sweets. It does a wonder for my body.
Someone will have to step in for that time span.
