Impressed with Saints fans

I am sure there were some meltdowns in the game thread, but mostly you guys are taking this very objectively.
A few are freaking out about Brees, but dang, the guy threw for 344 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Division is so bad so far it is still up for grabs.

last night sucked, but until we drop a game or two in the dome, I am not writing off hope.

True Saints fans, like the majority on here, know that a meltdown isn't even merited for this performance.
We all got a nice reality check during the Cleveland game, and the Vikings game, while a W, had many of us not really believing things were going to get better.
It's just going to be a down year, but sometimes you need those to move forward.

Most of the melt happens on the Score Board

It's still a salvageable season, but I think we can all agree that if Brees goes down our season is screwed. If the offensive line keeps getting bent over on the line of scrimmage it's likely to happen.

I told my wife that the vikings game was more concerning than the 2 losses.
I still haven't given up, but this isn't even an 8-8 team unless we improve on both sides.

That's kind of been the case since 2006

After the L in Cleveland, my expectations for this team took a nose dive. Then we follow that up by an underwhelming performance in our home opener against the Vikings.
Sorry but anyone who still believes in this team to turn it around is not looking at it in an objective manner.

I think our offense will be be very good starting next week and following the bye
I've lost all confidence in the D

Went down too big early in that game. They had a bit of luck with the INT too, but it was definitely a great play by Carter to get his hand on it. The bounces went their way for most of the game. Did not generate a pass rush again.

Impressed with Saints fans, but not the Saints themselves. The Saints are kinda pootrash for the time being.
Road to TwoDat may be a little harder or a little longer than I'd previously thought.

Garbage-time stat-padding.
I love Brees, but he is the champion of this.
I blame nobody on the offense, although in general, they were poor too.
This defense is a nightmare and this will be a long sad season because of it.

Wouldn't most QBs have a ton of these?

We are still a playoff team

Maybe. Winning the division is a must though. No wildcard from NFC South this year.

The one silver lining is that the NFC South is garbage, and the Saints do have the talent to right the ship.
It's been a horrendous start; can only hope for the best going forward.

They have to go undefeated at home and then steal two on the road.
Once they lose one at home then I'll throw in the towel.

How my dad defines a true Saints fan: We don't watch to see if they will win, we watch to see how they'll lose."
In other words, we kind of used to this historically

You're a moron if you think that we didn't have a chance to win before the Graham fumble.
