Have we always booed? and especially Sophmore QBs making their 6th career start?
Kinda feel for these kids, but I guess they should know what they are getting into when the commit to a big time college football program.

I think the fans were just booing the offense in general, not Jennings.
Frustration has set it (we're 5 games in now!)
I promised myself last night that I would just enjoy a nice victory with my son, but darn it if I don't go right into my whining and complaining about Miles, his stubbornness, and Jennings under center.
"What's it going to take to put Harris in, Les Miles!!!" I shouted.. "How many loses?"
Enter Harris, 7 straight TD's
You can tell, he is going to be special.
I think Miles fears that throwing him to the wolves under the lights he might not play the same and then have 2 QB's with little confidence.. It's fragile..

Yes. People are just bigger pansies these days.

I recall Les being booed in 05 when Tennessee came back from 21-0

Yes ... at least since I started going to games in the Charlie Mac days. Alcohol + hormones + immaturity = booing. I get it, it happens in the heat of the moment. What I don't get is people seriously trying to defend it the next day.

It was bad in Macs last few years Very divided fan base.

They were booing in the 50's too.
Dad said that as a high school senior on a recruiting trip to LSU, the booing at the game was so bad he chose not to play for LSU.

Booing has been around as long as the game itself. It happens everywhere. Michigan fans were booing yesterday. This is not a new phenomenon.
And it will continue.
And it will continue.

During the Hallman era, we booed two to three times more than we cheered. There wasn't a bunch of handwringing about it though because people weren't giant vaginas back then.

I remember booing the opposing teams, but not our team. The Hallman years were rough. I remember that feeling of frustration in the air and our cheer of, "Up the middle, off tackle, drawwwwww, punt!" I don't remember boos for our team.

The Curley Hallman days were a continus boo his time here but that was a total cluster freek!

Hey kids, does it hurt your feelings? I guess your mommy and daddy only put you in timeout and were your buddies, instead of your parents? I bet you kids wore helmets riding your bikes and still do. Grow some...I know it is your generation, but come on!

I'm not that old but booing has always been a part of any spectator sport. I don't like it when its directed at a college player, and if its directed at the coach its still going to seem like its against the player.

lsu fans should start whistling like the rest of the world instead of booing. if you are going to do something do it right

Id wager that the players were not the ones being booed.

I've been a fan since the early 80's and yes lsu fans have been loud and boisterous since before then.
This notion that somehow lsu fans just recently became wacky, loud, opinionated and yes even crude makes me giggle.
