MIDDLE-EARTH: SHADOW OF MORDOR TELLS A GOOD STORY BUT PROVIDES THE TOOLS TO DISCOVER EVEN BETTER TALES
The gameplay foundation of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is very strong, which makes it all the more incredible that it's also the least exciting thing about the game. Most video games choose to either tell you a story or give you a world in which you can create your own stories; very rarely are these two paths mixed, and even more rarely with any success.
Shadow of Mordor is that ultimate rarity. It tells a fun little story that would be enough to hold up most games on their own. But it also provides all of the tools to ensure that the most interesting tales to come out of the game will be the ones that were not scripted.
IGN 9.3/10

A bit surprised, I lost a bit of my hype for it after watching the 1 hour of gameplay video, thought it didn't look all the great.
Still going to get it though, probably just for PC.

This game looks fricking awesome.
I'm interested in this enemy hierarchy thing.

I was keeping an eye on this game and thought it looked pretty good. I got it for cheap on PC.

I've been calling this a sleeper for a while. Reviews seem to be confirming it. I can't wait to play.

What is going on here lately?

It is not PS4 exclusive or heavily pushed on the PS4.

Bizarro world for sure
ETA: this game is tempting to pick up. Is it just single player or is there a co-op?

Any word on how this game performs on PC? I know Pc copies were behind the others for reviewers so some people were worried about it.

So far the only website to not like it is destructoid, which seems to always be the ones to dislike what everyone else likes.

Depends on the reviewer, because their team is quite varied. If it's not Dale North or Jim Sterling, I don't read.
