Sleep mask, milk, melatonin, ambien, heroin, masturbation. This combo works every time.
Edit to say ATTEMPTED masturbation. Cause once that h and that melatonin kicks in, you're not getting your rocks off.

Turn on the Antiques Roadshow, and it will knock me out in a heartbeat.

Unisom with doxylamine, you can get the walgreens brand and that works even better I think. I'm a grown arse man and I have to split the tiny pill in half

z-quil made me fall asleep on the toilet one night and then once I almost fell asleep opening the bedroom door to go to bed, stuff is no joke. I love it

Try to get into a nightly ritual of going to bed 30 min to an hour before you would like to fall asleep. Do something relaxing( read, masturbate, rub on the SO, listen to relaxing music). Do this at the same time every night and exercise 30 min to an hour a day. I used to have to take pills or smoke up to fall a sleep. Exercise and consistent relaxation habits before bed really helped me fall asleep and stay asleep.

Melatonin 5mg and good sleep hygiene.
Stay on a schedule. Let the lights in your house mimic the natural light outside (dim around 7, low-to-off by bedtime). Wake up the same time each morning. Use your room for sleep, sex, and nothing else. Don't try to fall asleep when you're not sleepy. Only allow yourself about 20 minutes of trying to fall asleep when you are sleepy before trying something else. Best advice there is do not watch TV or play on your phone/tablet/etc. A Kindle is excluded. Try reading in dim light in another room until you're tired and ready to try again. If moving to another room isn't possible, at the very least, try to have a chair or something that isn't your bed to sit up and read in.
Habit changes above will likely eventually supplant the need for a sleep aid.

Sleep Aid. It's the Walgreens brand of Unisom or whatever. Same active ingredient. I love it.

The correct answer is the unisom that has the active ingredient doxylamine succinate. Not the diphenhydramine/Benadryl one
But if you're desperate you can combine the two. The diphenhydramine unisom is 50mg as opposed to Benadryl which is 25mg

the best answer is melatonin used properly. you can use it every night. do your own research.
Melatonin makes you sleepy like a normal person or like it was when you were a young kid. You get sleepy and then go to sleep like a normal person would.
You wake up the way a normal person or like when you were a young kid. You wake and gradually come out of your sleep stupor while you begin to stir and move around and after a few minutes you are awake.
It is not normal to be wide awake as soon as you open your eyes. And no it does not make you drowsy - it makes you normal. Do it and make objective observations about it and you will understand what I'm saying. I've been using it for 17 years and it works every time with no side effects and you do not build up a tolerance for it. you need to find your right dose. More is not better. too much will have the opposite effect. sometimes less is better. a benefit that I do enjoy is the vivid and often lucid fantastic dreams that I have. No nightmares just wild shite.
