Does the girl he allegedly raped still go to FSU? I'm hearing rumors (on twitter so not reading too much into it) that he was talking about her when he stood up on the table and said it. Maybe she was present? If so it explains the talk about him being done at FSU

This is wrong in terms of the consequences fitting the crime(what he did was silly and shows unawareness) but I think coming down super hard on him is in his best interest, maybe he'll "get it", no matter how unfair he's not normal and can't do the silly things everyone else does

If his accuser from the rape was in the student union, where he was standing could mean a great deal. It could be looked at as continued sexual harassment. Not a great time right now to be a high profile football player doing that sort of thing.

I think it says more that FSU guaged public opinion than that they don't need Jameis.
Regardless, Mr. Winston has just about depleted his goodwill stock with FSU, which is crazy considering he's less than a year removed from bringing home a natty.

I think 0 percent chance of being tied to this. Would be one hell of a coincidence that he had this incident and half game suspension in the same week that the title IX investigation wrapped up.
Sounds like it is what it is. He lied to the coaches and admin about what exactly happened in the cafeteria and now is being punished for lying.
