Picking some family members up from MSY late tonight, then heading downtown until Sunday morning when we make our way back up to BR. Any suggestions for what to do tomorrow? Any special events this weekend? None of them have been to nola before, but looking at the forecast it's supposed to tstorm for a good chunk of the weekend so indoor suggestions are appreciated

Watch the LSU and Saints games somewhere. Cooter Browns isn't a bad place. Also, the WWII Museum is nice and you should check out the bar there--American Sector.

If they are from Arkansas or Syracuse? Sects.

Lots of it. Teach the females about how the Finger Lakes got their name.

Was down there last weekend. Ate at some great restaurants. Hit the Quarter at night. We went to Martin's Wine Cellar in Metairie and picked up a few good bottles and during our down time we sat out by the pool and imbibed ourselves and just relaxed. I'm considering going back this weekend.

It's my sister and her bf coming down from Philly so they can have all the sex once I'm gone Sunday . They are not big history buffs so not sure the WW2 museum will work. The rodeo sounds like a good time

Personally I wouldn't want to go to the Rodeo while visiting NOLA. Let's just eat 6-10 times and booze all day.

Casino, Frenchman Street, Street car, stop in one of the nice bars early evening, go hear good live music, and for the love of god, don't spend all night on bourbon and eat at some real restaurants not tourist shite

Food is the real draw for my out of state relations.

The Quarter would be a good way to waste a day, Royal Street shops/galleries, bars and meals.

Being from the DC metro area, I have been exposed to many fine museums...but this is one of my favorite ones. I was very impressed when I visited it 2 years ago.

1) Watch the LSU game on tv (Sat.)
2) Watch the Saints game on tv (Sun.)

That's what I'll be doing in NOLA this weekend

Looks like the #1 recommended option is to watch TV in NOLA this weekend. Awesome city. So much culture.

And yet the hotels will be filled with people from all over the country and world who are here to do unique and interesting things as well as enjoy great bars and restaurants.
