20 seats filled at E's Kitchen tonight. A whiskey pairing dinner with Chef Holly Goetting from Charley G's.

First course was served with Dunhill Irish whiskey.

Flaming Garlic and Whiskey Shrimp

Second course was served with Slow and Low

Chili Glaze Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps with Sriracha Aioli (pic doesn't do it justice)

Third course was served with a rye whiskey but I forgot the name.

Petite Filet with Sauteed Brussels Sprouts, Turnip Puree, warm bacon vinaigrette demi-glace.

Final dessert pairing with Four Roses Bourbon

Chocolate Whiskey Cream Pie

Fun and delicious evening.

Ho. Lee. shite. Just thinking about those flavors coming together has me almost able to taste it and feeling all funny inside. The rest looks fantastic as well, but the way that sounds, I'd be the fat kid in the school cafeteria trying to trade for more of those wraps

Nice looking meal. Food looks delicious!

Couple of questions, where is Charley G's? Is this a spin-off of the original in Metairie?

Was the filet mid-rare or rare? Looks rare in the pic. IWEI anyway, but was curious.

If only we could convince her to spell "Tartare" correctly on the menu. For this reason, I've yet to order her Tar Tar.

Looks awesome Darla. One thing I don't get is putting the steak on top of the Brussel sprouts...or that type of plating in general. I guess it's to make it look prettier but I prefer function over form. Regardless, good food with whiskey= heaven.
