In this moment, with all the hype, do you think he has much trade value? If so...who would you trade to get him?

I doubt it. I wouldn't trade anyone I expected to be any good.

Now if he comes back you could probably trade him high before he plays a game and doesn't repeat last year.

it's different than a risk on an injury or a known suspension IMO. those are kinda supposed to be part of FF, if that makes sense. basically, it's just lame but nothing you can do about it.

meh, fantasy is all about paying attention to what is going on, and at least in most of my leagues, making moves for waiver wire guys a week before (or days) everyone else. I grabbed Josh Gordon last night. Anyone else could have before me.

I woke up this morning, saw the news about Ellington, and in my one very big, deep league, saw that Dwyer and Taylor were already claimed at 3 am. Is that lame too? that's what it's about. Stay a step ahead of the competition. Everyone has access to the same information. It's all about how you choose to access it and use it.

Right now, he has zero trade value. If anything, his trade value is the equivalent of someone you could get off the waiver wire.

we did our draft after he was suspended for the year and so nobody picked him. a lame "race to the computer" is a shitty way to decide who gets a season changer.

No doubt you are over 50.

Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that "there's no chance" of any of the suspended players playing this week. The NFL and NFLPA are meeting to discuss a new drug policy, but the sides couldn't come to an agreement Friday and remain apart on multiple issues. NFL.com's Albert Breer has previously pegged Sunday as a "soft deadline" in the talks. It remains possible Wes Welker and Josh Gordon could have their suspensions reduced, but it's almost certainly not going to happen this week.

I don't many thought Gordon would play this Sunday anyway. As long as he plays, 15 games or 1 game, I'll keep him.

However... From Reddit...

Wouldn't this almost confirm he will be reinstated at some point? He probably was advised not to sue by his legal council because they know this things going to get turned around.

The NFL and the NFL players' union are close to an agreement that would modify the sport's drug policies and potentially could result in a reduced or overturned suspension for Gordon, the Washington Post reports. "If we get a deal done that covers players in this league year, I don't like that we punish players under a deal active in the old league year," NFL players union director DeMaurice Smith told 106.7 The Fan in Washington, DC, which was relayed by NFL.com's Albert Breer.

That is basically the same regurgitated story we've heard the past 36 hours IMO.

They are close to a deal but that is only the first hurdle. Then they have to agree on allowing the weed test levels higher. Then they have to agree to reduce his suspension. All the while agreeing to stronger HGH testing. Then Gordon has to catch up on conditioning and the offense.

I just dropped Gordon earlier today for Dwyer and I have regretted it since hitting submit.

yeah kinda

surprised dwyer wasnt drafted in your very big, deep league first of all, but the waiver wire exists to prevent this. as long as you get your shite done on time, it's not a race. pre week 1 is a little annoying when it's a race.

That was hilarious how you argued that Gordon would change your team and then almost immediately dropped him.
