Well they've already lost by 3 TDs to an FCS power so it's kind of a stretch.

This game is not going to be close. LSU scores within the first 5 minutes and never looks back. Utah St. was supposed to give Tennessee fits too

unless this is all a ruse to pump up how great of a win it was after the game...coach speak from a ranter so to speak. In that case, carry on

Fair enough. I didn't take the time to do a quick google search on the man. My point is, he's always been in the thick of things at the end. Geaux Tigers!

Nope, 7-4 in 2012 and won a share of their conference title.

And two of those losses were to LSU and Kent State. They're a perennial top 10-15 FCS team. I don't know that we've ever played a "bad" FCS team.

Eta: The Citadel was bad in 2002

Yes it's a stretch. They aren't even close to being the best team in the Southland.

I'm not expecting to blow them out. They've got a lot of skill guys who transferred from other D1 schools. I can see this being a 10 point game at halftime. Much similar to the first half of the Furman game last year.

Oh, definitely. The guy knows how to win. This is only his 3rd game at the helm and they're installing a new offensive system. So it's taking time to get the kinks worked out, they definitely aren't as bad as some people think they are after the EWU game. But they lost some big skill players and they're working to replace them. LSU wins easily, no doubt in my mind, but SHSU is better than people realize.

They got beat in their opener by 21, they let a SWAC team score 20 on them. We will score over 40 points, they will not score more than 24, unless we score 50 or more.

No defense, no ball control.

Of course they are playing in Tiger Stadium, it will be like a funeral service after the first LSU punt, then it will be empty after half. In most ways it will be like a home game for them. I give that a few points in their favor.

LSU 45---Sam Houston 24.

SHSU is a definitely good FCS school and I watched them against their operner against Eastern Washingotn and EWU had no problbm and I mean no problem running up and down the field. Sam Houston is a good opponent and will provide a good game but in the end, LSU will pull away and I don't care if its by 1 TD or more. a win is a win and SHSU is better than a lot of FBS teams out there but a monumental upset , my friend I don't think so . That's a possibility maybe fhte first game of a season but not a second game. Just don't see it happening. All Tigers.

Honestly, I thought Towson was like 4-8 the year before we played them. Maybe they had a good year. And whoever laughed at 20-28 being somewhat competitive, do you think we score on the first 4 drives of the game and kneel the ball for the last two quarters? Georgia and Auburn just won big in this weekend but both were tied in their games at half. Do you not think that a 7 or 14 point game in the third quarter against a 1-AA team wouldn't have the Rant rustlin?

Good FCS team, but I don't see a close game. If it is close mid to late 3rd quarter, our Tigers are in trouble this year

9-3 in 2011 and CAA champs. Lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs. But not long before that they were a pretty mediocre program. The coach they have there now has really built that program up.
