A YouTube feed of a Counter-Strike game took an unexpected turn today, when it was interrupted by a very real SWAT team that happened to be sweeping the building. The gamers in the video are part of The Creatures, a group based in Littleton Colorado that publishes videos to YouTube and Twitch, and since the broadcast was in progress during the raid, their entire arrest ended up on the livestream.

Because the police search turned up no weapons, it's likely that The Creatures were the target of Swatting, the increasingly common practice of rallying police to a location through a phony 911 call. According to a local news report, the entire building was evacuated, and photos show a fully armed police squad sweeping the parking lot. The office complex is just a few miles east of Columbine High School, site of the 1999 school massacre.

Who needs a warrant? It's the military, I mean the police department. Cops suck

Swatting happens daily, and to BIG name celebrities, but the news has an agreement with law enforcement not to do stories on it. Of course if it gets captured live and everyone already knows about an incident they will report it but they don't mention the vast majority of them.

I love the cop asked "Something funny about this to you?"

I would have laughed my arse off. I didn't do anything wrong and I wouldn't be afraid to tell them. And I damn sure wouldn't have told them I was streaming.

Don't get me wrong, I would have been fully cooperative. But him saying that would have rubbed me the wrong way.

How did the guy immediately know about "swatting" and that that's what it was? Very bizarre. I'd be like WHAT IN THU frickING frick!?!? and he was "oh darn I must be getting swatted..."

to be fair this guy rents space in a corporate office building and streams from his office. I had no idea being a popular streamer could pay so well.

But the police had a lot of office workers in the area to consider.

and given littleton and that areas history and active shooter call is going to garner a big response. They evacuated other office building and a school in the area.

Why did the cop turn the camera off towards the end and why was the cop wanting to do something on the guy's computer?

Is it really that easy to convince local governments to do military style raids on people's private property, detain people at gunpoint, etc?
