Yup on all accts

Oh, I'm a huge snob. So much so that I look down at the plebes that go to fancy places like Chili's or Outback and order the taster menu for two for $18.99.
Seriously? Order from the regular menu! That taster menu is all frozen and the cooks half arse it because they know your palate is shite. Order from the regular menu where it's grilled on the Barbie with love and affection and tastes oh so good.
And don't get me started on beer. Those idiots paying 9.99 for a 10 oz pour? I laugh while I sip my 5.99 32 oz Michelob Ultra and enjoy the delicate wheat flavors across my palate. Some people just don't understand the finer things.

Nice. I'm curious what part of your dining/drink habits lunch box will have a problem with.

Never been to Chili's, been to Outback once on a golf trip. Hotel was next to one and we were drunk and the Preakness was on. It was the only place to walk. Had a bloomin onion and a ribeye. Was decent, but I was hammered.

I have absolutely no problem drinking light beer when I want to get shitty
This always confuses me. If you want to get shitty, shouldn't you be pounding imperial stouts? Or better yet, just hit the bourbon.
I remember sitting next to a stranger at a bar who asked me why I drank all that "fancy beer." He said he just wants to drink beer to get drunk. I told him that my "fancy beer" would get him drink a helluva lot faster.

I definitely tend to get a lot more drunk at IPA Day than I do at Lager Day.

My thoughts exactly. "Fancy beer" is probably more cost effective for someone who is looking to get drunk too.

they are obviously watching their calories

Yea, but ole dude probably couldn't get drunk on your fancy beer because he couldn't drink it. Your fancy beer to him it would taste like vile horse piss. Which is probably the same phrase you would use to describe his beer. But as long as each of you are enjoying your beer who gives a shite. The snob is the dude who looks down on the guy for drinking what he wants. I have zero use for that kind of snob.

Same with food.

These beer dudes take themselves a tad bit seriously.

Well, you conveniently didn't quote the last part of my sentence where I said late night at bars (helps me be a serviceable day drinker the next day).
But anyway, yeah of course craft beer gets you drunk. I routinely start off drinking craft then switch to light for a few reasons.
1. My taste buds get shot to hell after awhile.
2. Craft beer is filling. When I'm in the mood for quantity, light beer wins.
3. Price. This goes back to my first point. I'm not going to keep paying for the more expensive craft when I'm not getting full enjoyment. I do ok, but I'm no OT baller.
I realize some of yall are out of the bar scene, but drinking craft beer is a low priority when I'm looking to party.
If a restaurant doesn't have a craft beer I want, that's when I get a cocktail. If a friend offers me a light beer when I come over, I'll drink it cause we're hanging out. I like to have a good time and really don't care what anyone else drinks to enjoy theirs, either.

Yet he was the one who was giving me shite about the beer I was drinking. Funny, I run into far more of those than vice versa.

this this this
it never fails if I'm drinking with my non craft beer friends, whether I order at a bar or bring beer to a party, they always comment on my beer with something like "what is this gay shite?"
I never comment on their beer choices until they comment on mine
happens every time

Yeah, I'm not saying this doesn't happen, but I don't think I've ever gotten shite for drinking craft beer. It probably has more to do with both of yall's personalities clashing.

Yea, I don't give my parents friends shite about their 10oz bud lights (which I drink plenty of from time to time), but they aren't afraid to ask me why I'm drinking queer beer the second I open the ice chest.

probably
it doesn't happen as much anymore now that we are older, but it always happened when we were younger and I was just getting into craft beer

Well damn. I guess I'm just lucky for not having people talk shite to me
