Anyone who reads this board with any knowledge of food and restaurants knows this is a very accurate statement.

TF does have knowledge of historical facts. And he does know something about cooking, not more than some posters on this board.
R2R is a special case. Not sure exactly how I would describe it, though.

Fitzmorris' recipes are kind of quirky. He always tries to do at least one thing different, even if it is to the detriment of the dish. For example, his New Orleans Hot Tamales, which he calls a Manuel's clone, doesn't even have chili powder in it. It does have tumeric, cardamom and nutmeg, though. Weird!

Manuel's never reopened after the storm, correct?

Just to ad my usual dumbass comments I have to do when the subject of his show comes up.
Funniest two moments ever on the show....
About five years ago some guys calls in to ask about the best Italian restaurants in Jefferson Parish or something along that line. Tom gives his two or three best and the guy says, Oh I've heard of that place and the chef. That chef is great. Isn't he the one that stirs the red sauce with his cock.
About two years ago someone called in and was obviously screwing around. He asked Tom if he like to have his salad tossed. The guy giggled on and off as Tom described how much he loved a tossed salad.
Immature and stupid, but still funny at the same time.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the first incident was him.

And that IS Tom Fitzmorris. I believe he is one of the most unintentionally funny people on NO radio.
He is a true descendant of Toole's Ignatius Reily character.

He has a knack for making people laugh. I enjoy his show.

I bought one of his cookbooks. Pretty good info in it for most LA dishes.
There used to be a funny blog called something like "the real tom fitzmorris", but it seems to have been taken down a year or so ago. Dude totally ragged on Tom and his pretentiousness.

A message board or a blog?
Posted on 8/17/14 at 7:14 pm to Paul Allen
It was a blog. Had a picture of Tom's face with clown hair rainbow wig on him.
Blogger would post every couple weeks or so when Tom made some douchey statements that could easily be made fun of.
