Anyone else eat this?
Perhaps it's my Scottish ancestry coming through, but I can eat this stuff everyday. Yes, I used canned corned beef. Yes, I use frozen bagged potatoes. I can't think of many foods that are potentially as bad for you as this dish. Is there anyone else that shares my shame?
PS: My kids and I love it. My wife refuses to even try it.

With a pan of cornbread....hell yeah!

I eat it every chance I can get it. I've made it like you and it's fine but if you take the time to cook a corned beef and fresh potatoes and make it from scratch it isn't hard and it is infinitely better. Buy a John Morrell corned beef and just boil or bake it. I boil it because it dries out too much in the oven. Good stuff.

First time I ever had it was MCRD, San Diego.
Lots of places do corned beef hash in Cali. Not as much here.

One of my favorite breakfasts. I love it griddled hard like Waffle House hasbrowns crispy with a couple runny eggs and tapatio/cholula/valentina then when you bust dem yolks and mix it all up...... Woooo....Slammed on raisin toast and it's fricking on like Donkey Kong

I was rolling along with you until you got to:
The fried hard with runny eggs is all me. I order CB hash anytime a restaurant has it on the menu with eggs over easy. And a side of bacon.

We eat it regularly at our house.

Same here. I try to tell her it's just meat and potatoes, but she still won't try it.

Out of a can, it's not healthy, loaded with sodium, fat, etc.
But, if made from scratch, it's not necessarily terrible for you.
And I do think it's tasty.

My grandma on moms side used to make it all the time. I loved it.
