The guy was a fielding phenom (especially during his younger years) and could absolutely mash. Unfortunately, injuries plagued his career and still he put up 630 HR's, 2781 Hits, 1836 RBI, and batted .284 for his career. All Hail the GOAT

Babe Ruth won more games at a younger age than any pitcher in history, then hit 714 home runs, with a .342 career BA.

Best play was when he robbed Lou Collins homerun and the Twins didn't make the playoffs.

You have to wonder though if Griffey's injury riddled stint with the Reds that pretty much neutralized him from the game in the early 2000s will affect him when it comes to the HOF
