If they continue offering a good selection of games then it could be a good deal.

I've held out on buying most of these sports titles so I will most likely sign up.
Plus I am a big fan of getting Dragon Age 5 days early.

It's a pretty good idea. Now, the execution...

I don't play sports game anymore but I know in college I wanted to play all of them, I just didn't have the money. This would have solved that for me.

This was essentially EA Season Pass for PS3/Xbox 360 consoles. I know that I paid like $30 a year and I could download an early release (full version) of the soon to be released title on Friday night and game all weekend. It was well worth it because if I didn't like the game, I didn't have to waste $60 to find out. It saved me from wasting money on Madden that's for damn sure.

Except for the whole vault of free games and discounted titles thing

I don't know why anyone would want to play an old game. For the $4.99/mo, I get access to play last years Madden game? No thanks. I think i'll shell out the $60 and play the current madden game...same goes with FIFA and the others.

Yeah if it's just the old games I don't care about it, if anything I will never buy a new EA game.
Might get it though to play FIFA

So EA believes that if you are stupid enough to buy an Xbox one, you are stupid enough to pay them $5 a month for shitty old games you have already paid for.
