Orangebloods reported that Texas has dismissed S Josh Turner and RB Joe Bergeron for a violation of team rules. In addition to the dismissals of RB Jalen Overstreet and S Chevoski Collins and the indefinite suspensions of WRs Montrel Meander and Kendall Sanders one wonders if Texas will have enough players to field a team next season. It appears Charlie Strong isn't taking any crap Mack left around.

Add Kendall Thompson to the list for those who don't want to scroll down two posts. His is believed to be related to concussions and not a violation of team rules though.

I think Strong will do a great job at UT, once he gets rid of the riff raff and brings his own players in.

LB Kendall Thompson as well. I think the entitlement era is well and truly dead now. Get on the train or get the frick out of the way

Texas will be a dangerous team in 2-3 years. Really hoping they get something done with UF. What a game that will be down the line if it happens.

He brought in guys like Michael Dyer and Zeke Pike at UofL, so he's known for being a second chance guy. These guys must be total frick ups.

Reminds of when Urban took over at Florida, although I think most of those kids leaving was because they literally couldn't handle the conditioning he instituted

Texas biggest problem was the sense of entitlement players had.

Strong is addressing this.

it will hurt as first but ultimately Texas will be the program it can be.

Strong might be fired by then, but this is progress

Love Strong and thankful for what he did for us, but his conservative offense needs to change big time to keep the natives happy. Will UT fans be happy beating the likes of North Texas 23-13?

Saban did the same thing when he went to Bama...and was ripped for it here.

There are rumors that this was their 5th failed test. If that's true does it change anyone's mind on Charlie Strong's house cleaning?

Can't tell y'all how refreshing this is for Texas fans. I always liked Bergeron on the field. That sucks but he must be a major bonehead.

The program had turned into the cowboys. Mediocrity and entitlement.
