Hell, Pryor could have knocked out two women and only missed four games.

And don't even get me started on the NFL's absurd drug-testing policy suspensions. If you smoke too much weed you can miss an entire NFL season. That's the equivalent of knocking out eight women. (Ten if your team advances deep in the playoffs).

Are people really this dumb or are you just agenda driven against the NBA? Male on male crimes btw, both of them.
That makes a difference to you?
Choking a coach is clearly better than racial remarks made in private.

Well, to be fair, domestic situations are little bit tricky, especially if the spouse has forgiven and is still with him. The NFL should have known 2 games would be seen as too light, though.
Why are those situations tricky?

All of the examples in the article and the ones you listed involve PLAYERS. Do yourself a favor and stfu about bringing Donald Sterling into this nonsense.

And? The situation involve players doing far worse things than having a racially tinged argument with a mistress.

You are so mad. You are either black or really stupid. Though it is possible that you are both.

Are suggesting that NBA players and Donald Sterling aren't equals?

Some people are fricking dumb. He probably doesn't even realize how poor his example is.
The examples he used for the season suspension took place under David Stern.
The Donald Sterling incident was handled by a completely different commissioner.

Some of us believe that men who beat women are worse than racists, though I suppose someone from Alabama might be confused as to why either of those people are bad.

What point are you trying to make?
David Stern decided the suspensions for those players. Adam Silver banned Sterling.
I'm not from Alabama either fwiw

How many games again was he trying to suspend Vilma for allegedly assisting in bounty gate?

You think Silver would have banned Sprewell for life?

Violence is apparently more acceptable than adderall and weed

If all of the players planned to boycott their playoff games if Sprewell was still allowed to play then probably.
Sprewell lost millions of dollars in game checks. Sterling is about to make 2 billion dollars.
Quite the ordeal he is suffering through.

Those players would not have done shite.
But that confirms the bias. It has nothing to do with morality.

It's about the almighty dollar. Players and coaches were planning to boycott if nothing was done. This was going on while the NBA was experiencing their 2nd highest rated First round in their history.
I'm still unsure what point you are trying to make though. Adam Silver mad the best decision for what he felt was appropriate at the time and fell within the owner's constitution. Plus the 29 other owners had to agree on the ban as well.
Adam Silver wasn't the commissioner during Sprewell or the Malice at the Palace, so we have no idea how he would have handled those situations.

Seriously messed up justice system in the NFL, I figured after that fricker shot his wife to death last year the NFL might have taken domestic violence a bit more seriously than getting high...
this league's discipline is a fricking joke...

Great job Goodell, great job buddy.

The author is creating a red herring. Both are wrong but, obviously, violence is worse. But it's not an either/or.
It's also wrong to suspend someone longer for smoking a joint than for violence.
