Los Angeles has by far the worst traffic ever

Personally, I think Baton Rouge is worse than Houston and Dallas. At least there, you can find alternate routes if you try. Dallas is especially navigable if you pay attention.
Baton Rouge is fricked starting at about 3:30 til 6:30.

LA or DC; both are horrid.

DC rush hour traffic is worse than LA imo (good luck on the Key Bridge at 5:30), but in LA, there can be horrid traffic at any time of the day. I've been stuck in monster traffic jams at 2am

Dallas between 5:00-6:00pm on either 35 or 635. RIP.

Panama City, Panama or San Jose, Costa Rica

I'd have to say Houston,
I've been to Houston where the traffic seems to start backing up in Beaumont.

Based on my experience living in both, I thought Atlanta was worse than Houston. Much worse if you are going anywhere north at evening rush-hour.
My wife would say DC was the worst. She may be right.
I thought Baton Rouge and Austin were both pretty bad considering their relatively small sizes by comparison. They've both grown beyond their infrastructure.

Panama City, Panama- can't really explain this one, half the city doesn't own a vehicle. I guess it just has bad infrastructure
Very few redlights. Buses everywhere.

This is what distinguishes LA from Atlanta, for example. Atlanta is absolutely terrible in certain areas but it is the same day after day and can be avoided if you adjust your schedule or go against the traffic at certain times. In just about any city, if you live in the suburbs/metro area and are trying to drive INTO the city, traffic is going to suck. LA you have the areas that are terrible and then you have random bottlenecks that make no sense whatsoever.

I think everyone inherently knows that a big city is going to have sucky traffic.
It's the smaller cities that piss you off. For me, it's Austin for the others from Louisiana, it's probably BR.
Here is an intersection that has ALL US cities out of contention. Seriously, wtf?
Ethiopian Intersection

This. I've done it more than once on two wheels and it is always nerve racking. Six lanes of idiots, half of which want to do 90+ while the other half want to do about 50.... and over half of them have their faces glues to their phone.

That looks like it flows better than any US city.
