Do you tell them your major? Obviously, right? Why is it when people have BGS's (Bachelor of General Studies) do they have to say their degree is in General Studies? Whereas people with BS's say theirs is in Biology, Chemistry, Etc. They don't say their degree is in Science as their Bachelor's indicates. So why do people with BGS's have to say theirs is in General Studies?

Scruffy has no idea. Do you have majors and minors in general studies?

Scruffy just says he got a BS in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry.

Because General Studies has no more specific descriptor. It's just the study of bullshite. I guess they could be honest and say they studied the various bars around campus.

If in a job interview, be as transparent as possible. If if passing conversation, tell them you where you graduated and that you majored in pussy and beer.

General Studies is a bullshite degree in case you didn't know. It's typically what athletes major in.

When you are ultra successful, people don't ask you what your degree is in. Just fyi.

I've never heard of such a major. Is this just basically saying you went to college and passed?

I'll be damned if I'm gonna tell anyone what my real degree is in. I usually say Finance or Math or Chinese Language or some shite, because that stops the conversation dead–I mean, who wants to talk about that crap?

Well yes becuase you degree is in something, not just a bachelors or masters. I tell them i have bachelors in history and a masters in museum studies. If they are curious about more, I tell them how I focused my studies on certain themes.

They say general studies because that's what their degree is in. That's just common sense. They didn't pick a certain content area.

This may have been discussed but is it really labeled as a BGS? I would have thought either a BS or BA and the concentration is general studies. Sorry, not sorry for not reading the entire thread.

At first I thought you were confused, now I see you are a typical sociopath, telling whatever lie necessary to get what you want.

I assume this has come up because you are walking a tight line with someone about what you told them vs. what is actually true.

I hope they are as inquisitive as this bunch and nail your lying arse to the wall, you fricking poser.

Because they (you) didn't complete the necessary coursework to get a degree in a particular concentration. You dabbled in various majors and got a GENERAL overview of a few of them. Hence, general studies. Is it that hard to comprehend?
