Me and the wife just binge watched all 40 episodes of GOT over the course of like 2 weeks. Every time an episode ended, I wanted to watch another one. I haven't watched a show like that in my life. The writing was incredible. I was obsessed.. But now that it's done, what next?

We're in the middle of Orange ITNB season 2, and it's meh. I've watched season 1 of Dexter and while a good show, didn't pull me in like Game of Thrones. Watched most of Breaking Bad, and even that wasn't as reeling. Up to date on Mad Men and House of Cards, and watched Lost...

we have Netflix and HBO Go. Out of everything available, is there anything that would keep us into it like that one.

Nope. Nothing out there that I know of where a fat man says frick you to the people that made him a popular and wealthy writer.

Breaking Bad is the closest to it in terms of being enthralling in my opinion. I'd go back and finish BB if I was you. Breaking Bad does continuously get better and goes out on a high note.

There is truly nothing like GoT. It's great, and you and your wife should read the books in between now and when S5 starts.

The Returned (Les Revenants)

Breaking Bad is my favorite show ever...but season one of The Returned is as good or better than any season of any show I have seen. If you and your wife give it a chance, like me, you will be very anxious for the start of Season 2. Twin Peaks, Sherlock, and Luther are binge worthy as well. All are on Netflix.

I'm rewatching GoTs right now. Picking up so much stuff that I missed the first go around, especially in the first season before I was really really hooked

Little finger just fricked Ned Stark. Hard. He went in dry

Deadwood maybe? Interesting characters, plenty of t & a, violence, etc. Western backdrop with Timothy Olyphant.

Orphan Black is mind blowing. Completely different shows, but you might want to check it out. Tatiana Maslany is a badass actress.

Suppose that you cannot possibly imagine anything more uninteresting than a mythical, medieval story with dragons thrown into the mix. And, as an aside, that you think The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings were shear torture to read, and the movies were even worse.

Would you recommend GoT? I'm serious and not trollng.

The Sopranos and The Wire are about as close as you'll get to GoT. Nothing else on TV like it. The writing on Breaking Bad is similar, but not the scope.
