Norm and Cliff scenes were always my favorite.
The intro to the show is about "Where everybody knows your name," but the show really did a good job of making the characters feel like they were genuinely your drinking buddies. Fun show

That show was solid all the way through. Matter of fact, I think it got better as it went on...going from Coach to Woody was an upgrade. Fantastic ensemble cast.

Didn't watch it while it was on NBC as I was out having fun. I caught it in syndication when they showed two episodes a night on Channel 11 in Dallas for years. Definitely worth the watch if you do something like that on Netflix.

Everyone there...... Knows your name.

Such an incredible and smart show. It's rise from the absolute bottom in ratings in its beginning to being one of the most watched finales in history is a great story.
Almost every show on today, drama or comedy, is influenced by Cheers. It's definitely worth a watch if you love TV and TV history.

Cheers never had a bad season. The # of great characters kept it fresh.

It may be a little dated with some of the dialogue and humor but that was the show back in the day

I'll set the DVR to catch reruns on cable (Lifetime, I think) that air about 1 or 2AM. Record about 15 of them and roll through them when I am bored. Loved to flip that show on while I was up late on a bender. Thanks for the idea for this weekend.

You will enjoy Cheers unless you are very young
I was 16 or 17 and loved the show during reruns on Nick at Nite.

Was my absolute favorite show until Seinfeld. Some thought there was a drop-off after Diane left, but there are still some really funny episodes late in the run

There was a lot of funny stuff with Rebecca. The episode where Sam and Woody have a contest to see which one of them can get a kiss from her first was great.

"It's a dog eat dog world, Woody, and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear!" Norm
Great show, one of my all time favorites. Like most shows, really wasn't the same when some of the original characters went away and new ones arrived on the scene. Also interesting to see how characters changed over time on the show.
Original cast (when Coach was on the show) was the best.

It's a great show. Was my GOAT until Seinfeld came along

You're my age and it was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I thought Sam was the man.

We had the box set in college. Good show. I'm a sucker for shows that we'd in their prime right when I started remembering TV, and this was one. The character of Cliff is such a realistic portrayal of that annoying guy at the bar

"What's shaking Norm?"
"All four cheeks & a couple of chins."

a top 3 sitcom for me.

seinfeld
AD
they interchange spots all the time.
and a earlier post was right.... dead last in the ratings. #77 out of 77 shows
it would be cancelled after 6 episodes in today's TV
the man behind 'Must See TV' said Cheers was the 'tent pole' for NBC Thursdays

I may need to start watching these again. Lol
