SIAP, if it was I missed the fun.

The Billings Gazette apologized on Friday for its 2008 endorsement of Barack Obama for president in an editorial titled “Gazette opinion: Obama earned the low ratings.”

The Gazette said it missed George W. Bush and the “good ol’ days when we were at least winning battles in Iraq.”

Sometimes, you have to admit you're wrong.
And, we were wrong.
We said that things couldn't get much worse after the sub par presidency of George W. Bush

These are all signs — none of them definitive on their own, necessarily. However, when taken in completely, these demonstrate a disturbing trend of incompetence and failure. It's not just that Americans are in a sour mood about national politics. That's probably part of it. Instead, Obama has become another in a line of presidents long on rhetoric and hopelessly short on action.
Obama's hope and change have left liberals and conservatives alike hoping for real change, not just more lofty rhetoric.
SIAP, if it was I missed the fun.

My prediction is that the next POTUS will be as well

Quite the possibility.
Bush could have been written off as an anomaly.
Then Obama had his day of fail.
If we have 3 shitty presidents in a row, it tells us one of two things, IMO:
1. Only really shitty people can get elected anymore because of how the election game has evolved to pure rhetoric
2. No matter the president, they will get smeared into oblivion by the other side due to expanding social media and really aren't as bad as they're made out to be.

Kinda eats at the idea that they are all the same party?

Some of us think we already have.

Clinton may not have been great due to his hand in the housing bubble but I don't think he's in the same class of fail as Obama and Bush.

quote:Obama may well constitute the worst 2-term presidency in history by the time its done. Blame the electorate.

I won't hold my breath waiting for the rest of the media to apologize.

Ruthless.........but you won't see other papers doing the same
At least they admit it.
At least they admit it.

I saw all of this coming from a mile away.
This Obama Presidency is well-deserved.
Perhaps the US electorate will learn a hard life lesson.
